The previous year the
high school band had 98 students. Since there wasn’t an
active beginning or intermediate band, there weren’t any

academics have been in the ESD a long time.
Both are great for
the school and gives the school a great reputation, but, let’s
face it, the school puts more emphasis on the athletic part than

Band has new teacher; learns to read music
This year’s KHS band, including the new band teacher Mr.
Walter Jenkins, is working on new performances, raising money,
conducting after school practices, and learning to read music.

Homecoming Court announced; basketball team wins Homecoming game
On November 5, Homecoming was a night to remember for the maids
and the basketball teams, where there was victory on the court
and in the Homecoming royalty. The Pirates walked away with winning
all the games against the Eagles that night. Junior maid Catrina
Santana was crowned Sr. Queen, while freshman maid Michelle Mata
was crowned Jr. Queen. Click

celebrates Homecoming with Spirit Week
Every year there is a spirit week to kick off for the big game,
the Homecoming game. Spirit week consisted of Roll Out of Bed
Day, Cameo Day, Hat Day, Crazy Day, and Black and White Day. Click
